It can be seen metaphorically that the reunification in Germany just happened in the year of the birth of Alex.Do. It symbolizes, too, the meeting of two forces, two trends which are reflected in the life of the young artist. From Techno, Dub and House of all decades and seasons he creates something that can be called the essence of electronic music. In his DJ-sets, which are deep, last several hours and give you the feeling of being on another planet, he can live his melancholic, introverted side. At the same time, his pulsating mood sweeps are electrifying, which characterize his personality as well as his productions. With the team DYSTOPIAN has he not only found comrades-in-spirit. He has also found a platform of his music style and the possibility of performing shows in Berlin and all over Europe.

Despite being from Italy’s sun-blessed southern coast, Distant Echoes developed his passion for the darker side of electronic music at a very early age. When he was only 14 years old, he already owned a turntable and a mixer. It was only a few years later that he had become a passionate record collector and a DJ who would organise his own local parties. Setting up his first own studio was just a matter of time. After leaving his hometown his way led to Milan, later to Berlin which to him feels like a “musical home”, nevertheless he resettled in Italy. Those who watched attentively might know the House and Techno tracks the skillful producer has released under various monikers. In the studio he is a real workaholic, untiringly working on the music he’s so passionate about: Techno filled with melancholic melodies, hypnotic patterns and strong grooves.

Felix K is a DJ and producer from Berlin; the visionary behind the labels 0000, Hidden Hawaii, Gilga, QNS, SUB and Solaris Series. His DJ carreer goes all the way back to 1997, when he started as a Drum ‘n’ Bass DJ. 2007 turned out to be the year he stopped collecting Drum ‘n’ Bass records in favor of Techno and House. Although you can certainly recognize an imense intertext of inspirations that spans from music and movies to art and architecture, Felix’ production output is hard to pinpoint to any specific musical genre. When listening to his music, it’s hard not to appreciate the way he filters his inspirational input into unique moody and dubby music.
