Void 10 Years Series: Kr!z
Token Records is the Belgian behemoth of techno, with a roster of artists and remixers that reads like a who’s who of harder edged techno. Since its launch in 2007, with a release by London resident (and VOID two time alumnus) Inigo Kennedy, records on Token have been played at pretty much every VOID party, and with good reason – it doesn’t get much better that this.
The man who has been behind the vision for this iconic label – Kr!z. Unlike many gigging artists, who tour and DJ to support their music production, Kr!z does not release records. He is a DJ, pure and simple – with an equal passion for techno and hip-hop, his DJing reflects this, fast mixing, with elements of hip-hop style.
VOID were ahead of the curve by hosting one on the first ever Token nights back in 2007 long before the label became as influential as it is in Techno today.
Ten years ago Kr!z and Inigo Kennedy graced China for the first time, and since then we have hosted Inigo for a second visit and brought Token’s other big name Ø [Phase] to the old Shelter.
We’re just as excited to welcome back the big boss, Kr!z, for a long awaited return, in this, the tenth anniversary year of his superb label.
Support from Nat Alexander and Wensen.
Y’all ready for this?
